I received this book as an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.I really liked the characters in this story. They are both strong, independent men, and I really liked the balance between them. Their fears, and the pressures on their relationship seem real, and not like a lot of inflated drama. I loved the exploration of the meanings of family, and the price of honesty. I liked that each man had come to terms with his sexuality in college, and it wasn’t like so many others when bi-sexuality is used to explain away a sudden attraction to one man. The writing is strong, and I appreciated the sense of humor. I really ended up feeling for Ty’s niece, and I hope that she will be able to stand up for herself, and her dreams. I was not impressed by Ty’s family at all, but I’m hoping that there will be more about them, especially Ty’s niece in a future book.
