A fun, and sexy read. For me the poker references were becoming a bit much, and then the characters started making fun of them as well. I like the characters, and while I found Jace a bit overbearing at times, I'm glad that his perspective was included so I got a better feeling for his insecurities, fears, and the depth of his love for Quent. I really liked Quent, and found his naturally passive personality relatable, and I'm glad that he was able to stand his ground when it counted, and he didn't let Jace walk over him. They have a great sense of humor, and combined with the deep love, and respect they have for each other make for great reading. My favorite part of this story was that it was about more than just the sexual chemistry between the two. Not that the sex wasn't hot, but it was about more than that. I loved how Quent and Jace were truly building a life together, a life that went beyond just the two of them, and encompassed their friends, and the family of their choosing. I felt for Quent having his parents reject him, but I was glad to see his desire to build a family out of his friends, and his love. It made for a much more adult story, and complex, and nuanced plot.I received a copy of this book free from NetGalley.
