One of my favorite urban fantasy series just keeps getting better and better. In too many series when the main character makes a mistake they are protected from the consequences, or the consequences really aren't all that serious. That is if the main character makes any serious mistakes at all. This is definitely not the case here where carless words spoken by Atticus in a previous book have serious, and deadly consequences for both himself, and others (many, many others). It's time for Atticus to face the mistakes he made, and try to live with what he has caused. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I love how Atticus' age and power does not make him infallible, or omnipotent. Often times it is quick thinking, and a quicker tongue that both saves him, and causes him problems.
