I guess I'm on my own here, but I did not love this book. I really liked Ed, but I found Laurie to be beyond frustrating. His angst seems manufactured, and the way he treats Ed is miserable. Ed jokes around with him once, and he flips out. Not cool, not cool at all. I found him to be unsupportive, and unsympathetic, and him to be the quintessential poor little rich boy. The ending sex scene felt tacked on, and didn't flow with the rest of the story at all. It was a very WTF moment for me. I know my friends all love it, but it just didn't work for me.
